Here in Colorado, we love the outdoors. We have a lot of bicycles that cost a lot of money. If you were to go to your simple store to buy a bike like bicycle village or any of those places, you could see those bikes, start at $600 to $800 and increase and ramp up. There are bikes out there that can cost $700 to $800, $10,000 each. The big question is, how do we ensure them?

When you have an $800 or $10,000 car, that’s a small auto payment or something like that, and you wanna make sure that you ensure them correctly. So when we talk about insurance for bicycles, we wanna talk about two important things.

• The first thing is going to be protection for that bike against theft. As you’re utilizing the bike and how is that covered?
• The second thing we wanna talk about is a liability. If the bike hits and injures someone, how will they take care of the injured person? How will they take care of that person after treatment?

Above and beyond the price of bikes, we’ve been introduced to electronic bikes. These E-bikes ( electronic bikes) from an insurance perspective are treated closer to motorcycles than they are bicycles and that’s because of the motor on them.

So, talk to your insurance agent, make sure they know how much value you have in bikes. What kind of bikes do you have. How do we cover the liability? How do we protect them against theft?
