3 Important Steps On How To Handle A Roof Damaged By Hail

1. Call Your Insurance Agent

My recommendation and what I tell all my clients is your first step is to give me a call. You’ll call me. What I’m going to do is I’m going to reach out to one of my preferred roofing vendors. I’ve got several roofing vendors that are great reputable companies. They’re not door knockers. They are not fly by night.

2. Do Your Homework

Roofing companies are great local members of our community. They’re going to come out, they’re going to look at your roof, and they’re going to help us assess it. The most important thing that we can do before we file a claim is to do our homework. We want to get as much information as we can.

3. Get Advice From The Expert

Every insurance company is a little bit different with how they handle claims, and these roofers know that, that’s their job. So we want to use the advice and expertise of these roofers to recommend how we want to move forward. Do we have enough strikes to warrant an insurance claim? You know, are we close, but we need to keep watching it. We want to take their opinion as we look to file a claim.
